The main products in the exports of the Dried Fruits and Products sector are sultanas, dried apricots, dried figs, almonds, walnuts, pistachios, chickpeas, pine nuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, apricot and turmeric seeds, other dried fruits and other roasted fruits. Traditionally, the European Union countries are the most important market for Turkey's exports of dried fruits and products, but exports have been increasing in new markets such as China, Japan and the United Arab Emirates in recent years. In the first quarter of 2024, 118,738 tons of products were sent to 124 countries and free zones. The sector, which earned 497 million 639 thousand dollars in return for exports, increased its revenues by 29.9 percent compared to the same period last year, when exports amounted to 383 million 124 thousand dollars.
